I bought a Sony 1080P 46" TV in 2000, it was made in 1999. I loved and bragged it had the best picture ever. 2 months ago in the middle of a program it died. I called a TV repairman from Best Buy where the TV was bought called the "Geek Squad" and pd $110 for the service call. Bottom line pd $1100 for the TV and the panel needing replaced cost $2000. I have bought Sony action camera HDR-AS100VR and straight out of the box it had lens defect. Support had changed the lens (or so they told) but the defect still existed (thought it is very small now) but the worst part is that the picture is out of the focus now. Received a sony dvd as a gift for christmas 2015. I am an older retired guy not very computer literate. Tried to use the dvd on my dvd player attached to the tv, my desktop computer and my laptop computer and it worked on none. inside the package was a notice that I could add it to my library on digital HD. I bought a xperia T3 and after a year have been struck by the sudden death problem. Bell who sold me the phone left me in the dark and suggested I take it to a Sony store or send it back. Trying to get a fix it took me 2 months to find a fix, and spent over 6 hours trying to get it running. I am writing to you in good faith. I have been a loyal Sony customer for last 25 years Over the years I have purchased SO MANY products from Sony, Professional, prosumer and consumer, Broadcast cameras and tape decks, Beta and SP and digital. Customer service was beyond terrible. Spent 5 or 6 hours dealing with tech support to fix a problem with my laptop that the tech said was a software issue. Well $110 later and nothing was fixed and they just tuned up my computer. Which was not what i asked for. After 5 phone calls i finally got to speak to a refunds agent who was very rude and condesending that offered me a $30 refund. They clearly have no respect or concern for their customers... Sony has stolen eight months of my Kaspersky subscription. I purchased my note-book from Sonny that I customized and pre-installed the Kaspesky antivirus for three years in September, 2013. I purchased a 50 pack Sony blank DVDs (50DMR47SB/ZIN 86906614 1X-16X) on February, 2015 from a reputed shop in Chennai. I found almost all the blank DVDs were corrupt and could not be used for storing data. I had been in correspondence and communication on phone for no use. Our 18 month old 70 inch Sony is unusable. It turns itself off and on about 100 times a minute with a loud clicking sound in the back left. Sony should be ashamed for not covering this problem because I feel that it is a widespread problem.
